OGA Tournament of Champions

The 67th OGA Tournament of Champions was held June 4-5 at the OGA Golf Course.  I am always so impressed with the tournaments the OGA runs and this was no exception.  The course was in excellent shape and it finally felt like summer time out there!
The first day it was very windy - not sure of the MPHs but golf wise it was about two clubs.  It was a bit of a strange wind though, it really effected shots with or against but not much from the right or left.  First round scores showed how tricky the wind was, only Damian Telles and Daniel Griffiths shot even par in the men's division and low round for the women's division was my 1-over 73.
Sunday the wind died down a bit and scoring was a little easier.  Damian Telles shot another even par 72 put was caught by Pat O'Donnell who shot a 1-under 71.  After pars on the first two playoff holes a par on the 3rd gave Damian the victory.  On the women's side, I shot an even par 72 and won by 5 strokes over Lara Tennant and 6 over Monica Vaughn.  I had the pleasure of playing with Monica for the first time and I was very impressed with her and her game.  She already has done a lot of great things, and I think she will do even more.  I would say more about my rounds except they were really quite boring, just a lot of greens in regulation and two-putts.  Not always exciting to watch, but often times gets the job done.
My thanks to everyone on the OGA staff, the volunteers, and the course staff for another great tournament!  For full results, photos and video of the men's playoff, go to  http://toc.oga.org/
